SR58 - Seven Resumes, Two Names So Far
The deadline has passed for people to submit their resumes to fill the open 58th State House district seat.
The Morning Journal reports that seven resumes had been received by the House caucus staff but that a check still needs to be made to be sure if all applicants live in the district.
The article names two people who have publicly declaired their intentions:
Two Democrats who have said they applied are Tom Heydinger, 67, of Norwalk, a retired Huron County Common Pleas judge, and Lorain County Assistant Prosecutor Frank Janik, 42, of Amherst.
Some delays because of the ongoing Dann impeachment run up:
Andy DiPalma, House Democratic chief of staff, received the resumes, but was unavailable after the deadline to disclose the names because he was in a meeting concerning whether to impeach Ohio Attorney General Marc Dann.
The committee chair, Ronald Gerberry (D-59) says there will be a replacement in place by the end of May.
