Pre-WV, Obama Picks Up 7 Delegates
Four of the super variety, and three pledged delegates as well.
First to the pledged delegates. The Associated Press is reporting that Barack Obama picked up two pledged delegates in Ohio:
Democratic presidential contender Barack Obama picked up two pledged delegates today from the official results of the Ohio presidential primary held March 4th.
The Associated Press had withheld the two delegates because of the large number of provisional ballots cast in Ohio on Election Day.
According to the Ohio Secretary of State's office, almost 100,000 provisional ballots were counted.
This lowers Clinton's pledged delegate margin in Ohio to a mere +5.
NBC News is reporting that they are allocating another pledged delegate from North Carolina to Obama
And as for today's superdelegates:
- Indiana Representative Joe Donnelly
- New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin
- Former Colorado Governor and former DNC Chair Roy Romer
- DC Democratic Party Chair Anita Bonds
And finally some unnamed superdelegate has told NBC that they are uncommitted and not for Clinton as NBC thought, so that means a loss of one for Clinton today.
The numbers!
PLEDGED: Obama 1,591-1,426
SUPERS: Obama 283-275.5
TOTAL: Obama 1,874-1,701.5
