Ryan is the chief editor of Bring Ohio Home. He works as a political consultant with his business partner Paul Ackerman - they have worked on many different levels of races from local county campaigns to Congressional campaigns. Ryan started Bring Ohio Home because of the need for more solid, facts based blogging than what currently exists in the Ohio blogosphere.

Perhaps the biggest influences on Ryan to become a blogger are Jeff Coryell (editor of Ohio Daily Blog) and Jill Miller Zimon (editor of Writes Like She Talks).

Paul is a contributing editor and web designer of Bring Ohio Home. He has been working in Democratic politics since early 2005 and in mid 2005 he and Ryan Fissel formed Linwood Campaign Services, LLC.. He started the original Bring Ohio Home in late 2004 as an initial response to the disheartening 2004 general election results.
